The Albanese Government has announced a $40 million investment to expand kerbside and fast EV charging across Australia.
The initiative will target urban and regional areas, reduce connection costs, and support new charging options on existing electricity poles. This work builds on the Driving the Nation Fund and aims to accelerate the transition to cleaner, cheaper transport.
From an ESA perspective, this expansion highlights the need for a skilled electrotechnology workforce to deliver and maintain Australia’s growing EV infrastructure.
