$54.5M in ‘Building Women’s Careers’ Grants Announced

The 10 grants under Stream One of the Building Women’s Careers (BWC) Program have been announced by the Minister for Skills and Training, the Hon Andrew Giles.

With $45 million allocated to industry-led projects, these grants aim to foster flexible, safe, and inclusive work and training practices, supporting gender equity and career advancement for women in key industries.

Successful Grant Recipients

Energy Skills Australia is proud to share that Big Sister: Advanced Mentoring SA/WA has been selected as a successful tender. This joint industry partnership is led by the Electrical Trades Union of Australia and the following partners:

  • PEER
  • NECA Training & Apprenticeships
  • Australian Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusion at Work, University of Sydney
  • NSG BOFFA
  • Nilsen Group
  • Energy Skills Australia

Other industry-led recipients include Future Energy Skills Ltd and the Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC).

Additionally, Stream Two of the program has awarded $9.5 million to 10 community-led, place-based projects designed to break down barriers for women in construction, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and digital and technology industries.
